EMCO Unlock IT

EMCO Unlock IT is a small application that allows you to unlock any files being used by a determined process.

If you frequently run into problems when you're trying to eliminate files from your hard drive, EMCO Unlock IT could be the solution you've been looking for.

The program provides detailed information on the process that is using the file: name, list of file handles, executable path, description, priority, virtual memory use, start time, etc.

Then it's up to you to decide if you want to destroy the process that is blocking the file, or, alternatively, if you need to restart your computer to unlock it.

To integrate EMCO Unlock IT into the Windows shell, you need to check the verification box located at the bottom of the program. This is a great alternative to the popular program UnLocker.
